  4. What Does The Bike Warranty Cover?

    Check out these warranty details for various bicycle brands:

    + Polygon Bike Warranty
    1. Warranty Coverage
      1. Polygon warranty only covers bike frame and non-suspension fork.
      2. ENTITY-branded parts and electricity components equipped on E-bike.
      3. Paint and sticker are not covered in this warranty.
      4. Warranty does not cover wear items such as: bearings, bushings, tires, tubes, rims, brake pads, brake and shifter cables-casings-hose, chains, gears, handle grips, bar tapes, and saddles which are subject to varying wear life depending on use, load, weather, road conditions etc.
      (*) Premature wear or defect will be taken into account in any claim involving a wear item.

    2. Warranty Coverage Period
      1. For bike frame and non-suspension fork:
        Coverage Warranty Period
        Alloy based frame and fork 10 years
        Carbon based frame and fork 5 years
        Steel based frame and fork 5 years
        Dual suspension series frame 5 years
        E-bike frame 5 years
        Trid & Trid ZZ series frame dan fork 2 years
      2. For ENTITY-branded electricity part/component : 2 (two) years since the date of purchase.

    3. Warranty is valid only for
      1. Bike / frame that is bought from Polygon authorized dealers/shops (proven by official invoice/receipt/warranty card).
      2. Bike / frame that is bought from Polygon authorized online stores Polygon www.polygonbikes.com (proven by official invoice/receipt/warranty card).
      3. The original owner and is not transferable.
      4. Registered purchase at www.polygonbikes.com or through Polygon authorized dealers/shops.

    4. Warranty may become void if
      1. The bike that has been modified either non-technically (i.e. repainted) or technically or both where the modification may impair the original specification and purpose (specification can be seen at www.polygonbikes.com).
      2. The bike has been ridden with abnormal condition, in a competition and/or commercial activities and/or other purposes where the original purpose of the bike is not met.
      3. There is a damage due to incompetence of not following owner’s manual.
      4. There is a usage of components that do not met technical and safety standards for bike riding (see usage guidelines for each components).
      5. The damage is caused by accident, force majeur, and natural disaster (i.e. flood, fire, earthquake).
      6. The bike is an ex-prototype or ex-demo bike.

    5. Submitting Warranty Claim Guidelines
      1. Contact dealer/shop where the bike was originally purchased and describe the issue(s).
      2. Bring the bike to the dealer/shop and present your ID card.
      3. Warranty claims will be forwarded to Polygon Warranty Team with following evidence:
        • Bike frame number.
        • Picture(s) of defective part(s).
        • Picture(s) of the complete bike.
      4. The defective part(s) and bike may need to be sent to Polygon factory when necessary at owner’s cost.
      (*) The final decision of every warranty claim is taken under Polygon discretion.

    6. Warranty for Other Brands
      1. Claim for all non-Polygon brand parts, front suspension forks, and rear suspensions will be handled by each brand warranty policies.
      2. This part of the warranty statement covers all genuine parts including linkage frame, but does not cover non-Polygon brand parts, suspension fork, and rear suspension. All non-Polygon brand parts, suspension fork, and rear suspension will be handled by following each brand warranty policies.

    7. Limitation of Warranty
      Unless otherwise provided, the sole remedy under the above warranty, or any implied warranty, is limited to the replacement of defective parts with those of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of Polygon.

      This warranty extends from the date of purchase, applies only to the original owner, and is not transferable.

      In no event shall Polygon be responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential damages, including, without limitation, damages for personal injury, property damage or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, product liability, or any other theory.

      When a warranty case is accepted and processed, the removal, assembly and tuning requirements of any components or frames is borne by the owner.

      For some country, Import Duty may be charged by Customs authority which become the responsibility of the owner.

      Any costs/inconvenience caused by the loss of use of the bicycle/components while the warranty process takes place is not covered by Polygon.
    + Marin Bike Warranty
    1. Warranty Coverage Period

      Rigid Frames and Forks Lifetime

      Note: The frame-fork warranty period is valid from the date of purchase.

      1. Warranty Coverage
        1. Marin warranty only covers bike frame and non-suspension fork.
        2. The complete bicycle is warranted for one year (from the date of purchase), including all original parts on the bicycle except tires, tubes, chains and other wear & tear items. Paint and decals are covered under this warranty.
           
      2. Warranty is valid only for
        1. Bike/frame that is bought from Marin authorized dealers/shops (proven by official invoice/receipt/warranty card).
        2. The warranty is only valid for the original owner and is not transferable.
        3. Registered purchase at www.marinbikes.com or through Marin authorized dealers/shops.
           
      3. Warranty may become void if
        1. Bikes that have been modified/improved non-technically such as (repaint etc.) or technical modifications/improvements such as (addition/reduction of structures and parts on the bikes) which are not recommended/incompatible, maintenance – improper use, and involved in an accident.
        2. Bike/frame is purchased second-hand or in not-new condition without the original packaging.
        3. The frame number or other identification (such as decals) have been altered, defaced or removed.
        4. Damage occurring during delivery of the products (such claims must be presented directly to the delivery party).
        5. The warranty does not apply if the original decal / sticker is modified / removed.
        6. The bike is an ex-prototype or ex-demo bike.
           
      4. Submitting Warranty Claim Guidelines
        1. Contact the dealer/shop where the bike was originally purchased and describe the issue(s).
        2. Bring the bike to the dealer/shop and present your ID card.
        3. Warranty claims will be forwarded to Marin Warranty Team with following evidence:
          • Bike frame number.
          • Picture(s) of defective part(s).
          • Picture(s) of the complete bike.
        4. The defective part(s) and bike may need to be sent to Marin distributor when necessary at owner’s cost
        (*) The final decision of every warranty claim is taken under Marin discretion.
         
      5. Limitation of Warranty
        1. Parts/components/spare parts/wear & tear out on the bike are not covered by the warranty.
        2. Claims for all non-Marin brand parts will be handled by each brand warranty policies.

      Below are the steps for having pre-order:

      1. Online Pre-order:
        1. After our Customer Care confirmed that the product you're looking for can be pre-ordered, then you need to complete the data below:

        2. You will receive a payment invoice in a separate email. Kindly complete the payment via Stripe.
        3. Once the product is ready for pick-up, our team will send an email notification to you.

      2. Store Pre-order:
        1. After our Customer Care confirmed that the bike you're looking for can be pre-ordered, then you need to complete the data below:

        2. You need to place a minimum 20% deposit of the product’s price directly to the store. Payment can be made via Visa & Master Card, OCBC, DBS, UOB and POSB.
        3. Once the product is ready for pick-up, our team will call or send you an email notification.

    5. Bike Service

      1. How much is servicing at Rodalink?
      It depends on the service package or treatment that you need. You can check the pricelist at the Service page.

      2. I’m interested to do the service, what should I do?
      You can bring your bike to the nearest Rodalink Stores and consult to one of our mechanics. After that, you’ll be advised for your bike issue.

      3. What is the lead time?
      The situation might differ, depends on your bike issue. You can find out directly by asking with our staff at each respective stores.

    7. Terms and Conditions of Sale

      Thank you for your interest in purchasing products on RODALINK.com. By ordering in RODALINK (“RODALINK”, “we”) website, you (“Customer”, “you”) agree with RODALINKTerms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”). Please read in detail to fully understand your purchase in RODALINK. We reserve the right to modify or amend these terms from time to time without notice. 

      1. Product. Each Product offered for sale on the Website including the specification, is subject to change, as we noted on the individual product page, can be viewed by following a dedicated link displaying the Product details, including images, unit pricing, colours and sizes (as applicable). 
      2. Product. A description of the Products, including measurements or sizes (if applicable), together with one or more images of the Product will be displayed in the Customer's Cart. 
      3. Product. Although RODALINK takes reasonable steps to ensure that the photographs displayed on the Website accurately reflect the original Products, there may be some discrepancies due to the technical characteristics and colour resolution of the device used by the Customer. RODALINK shall not be responsible for inadequacy of the graphic representations of the Products displayed on the Website. Any measurements or specifications of the Products given are approximate only, and colours, fabrics and designs of the Products displayed, and the Products delivered to the Customer, may vary in minor respects. 
      4. Price. The Product prices are stated in Singapore Dollar (SGD), GST included. The prices are subject to change by time to time and without notice. Any promotions regarding the price may vary following the promotions scheme. 
      5. Orders. When placing an order on RODALINK.com, the Customer may purchase one or more Products, up to a maximum of X units per Product, except as otherwise provided. RODALINK reserves the right to vary these limitations at its discretion at any time.  You’ll need to make a RODALINK account and provide the information needed. If there’s any cancellation of orders, you will receive a refund of the order accordingly. 
      6. Orders. The Products selected for purchase by the Customer shall be placed into the Customer’s “cart” section of the Website ("Cart"). Items placed in a Customer’s Cart are not reserved for that individual Customer and may still be purchased by other Customers. 
      7. Orders. Before confirming the relevant Order, the Customer must check the accuracy of the contents of the “Cart” and complete the Order form in accordance with the instructions provided on the Website. 
      8. Orders. The Order process is completed as soon as the Customer clicks the relevant final Order confirmation button ("Place Order"), thereby confirming his/her Order, which will be submitted to RODALINK. 
      9. Payment. Payment must be done prior to the delivery. We offer you four options of payment at the moment: Visa & Mastercard, OCBC Credit Card Installment, AliPay and WeChatPay.       10. Delivery. You may choose between Home Delivery or Pick Up Store method to collect your items in our Rodalink Stores. Please read more on our Delivery Method details.

      12. Warranty and After Sales Service. Most of the products at Rodalink are covered by warranty. You have the right to return any defective product, as long as it complies with the brand’s warranty terms and conditions.
